Location: at the U.S. Embassy in Nicosia, Cyprus
Event: A demonstration is expected to take place at approximately 11:30 a.m on Monday, November 18, 2019, at the U.S. Embassy in Nicosia. The Cyprus National Police estimates there will be approximately 500 demonstrators.
At approximately 11:00 a.m., the police will close off Metochiou Street, from Agiou Prokopiou to Ploutarchou Street. The demonstration is expected to last approximately 1 hour. Consular services will not be impacted by the demonstration.
U.S. government personnel are advised to avoid areas that may be targeted for demonstrations.
