The American Embassy in Nicosia is organizing a delegation to attend the annual Solar Power International conference (SPI) in Las Vegas, Nevada, September 12 – 15, 2016. An International Buyer Program (IBP) event, SPI covers the solar energy sector and related fields.

SPI is North America’s premier business-to-business event for professionals in solar energy and related fields with more than 15,000 solar energy industry professionals from over 75 countries attending, and more than 600 leading manufacturers, service providers, and vendors on the exhibition floor.  It brings the full range of industry ideas, experts, professionals, and information together in one comprehensive event with unique networking opportunities and potential for cooperation with U.S. companies.

Energy storage is a game-changer for the solar industry and this year SPI will host over 80 energy storage companies and feature an education track dedicated to new technology, trends, and analysis of energy storage.  In addition, SPI will showcase the entire smart building ecosystem in a Smart Energy Microgrid Pavilion.  To expand its footprint SPI will feature an outdoor pavilion with a fully-functioning microgrid, energy management systems, automation products, electric vehicle charging stations, energy storage providers, and solar panel manufacturers.
