Event: Due to renovation of our office and consular waiting room, the Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy in Nicosia will have limited appointments for consular services from September 25 to December 2023.
We encourage all applicants to apply now before the construction starts. During the period of construction, we will continue to offer limited appointments for all services, but applicants will not enter the embassy building and will remain outside on embassy grounds. Applicants must arrive on time, or they will be requested to reschedule. We encourage all applicants to plan ahead (use the restroom, drink water before entering security), as the appointment will take place outside.
We will make every effort to minimize the time for the application process, but applicants must come prepared with all forms completed and on time, or they will be turned away so as not to inconvenience others.
Applicants renewing passports with form DS-82 should take advantage of mail in renewal.
