Nonimmigrant Visas

The Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy in Cyprus is responsible for providing visa services to those seeking to enter the United States for a temporary period and for those wishing to take up indefinite or permanent residence in the United States.

The United States Embassy in Nicosia, Republic of Cyprus, has suspended routine non-immigrant visa services. We are providing appointments for immigrant visas and certain urgent non-immigrant categories. At this time, we are prioritizing services for citizens and residents of the Republic of Cyprus. To apply for a visa, or if you have an urgent matter and need to travel immediately, please follow the guidance provided at the GSS website, or dial +357 22-232-082, or email esee_contactus+cy+info+en@visops.net.

Please visit our Global Support Services (GSS) website for complete information on applying for a nonimmigrant U.S. visa, including a directory of nonimmigrant visa categories.

The Consular Section is located at the Embassy of the United States of America at Metochiou & Ploutarchou Street, Engomi, 2407 Nicosia, Cyprus.

Applicants should email ConsularNicosia@state.gov detailing the nature of their emergency if they seek to retrieve their passport directly from the Embassy.

In-person pickup is not permitted without express permission from ConsularNicosia@state.gov.

Please note that all scheduled visa applicants must wear a face covering upon arrival and follow health guidelines to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.  In order to maintain social distancing, no family members will be allowed to accompany student visa applicants either for interviews or to wait outside the embassy.  Visa applicants from any country are welcome to apply at any U.S. Embassy or Consulate accepting visa appointments but travel arrangements to the interview are the responsibility of the applicant.  All travelers coming to the Republic of Cyprus are subject to current ROC regulations to mitigate spread of COVID-19, including possible self-isolation upon arrival.  Applicants who are required to self-isolate for 14 days must not come to the Embassy before their isolation period has officially ended.  Information is available at the Ministry of Tourism website.   Applicants may apply or adjust their current appointments at the Global Support Services (GSS) Website or via the call center.  Please monitor our website and social media for further updates.

Please make sure to obtain an appointment before you come to the Consular Section. Those who do not have appointments will not be permitted into the Embassy. Appointments for nonimmigrant visa applications may be obtained online from www.usvisa-info.com or by contacting GSS through telephone by dialing (+357) 22-232-082.
